Filling Out Your Vetlink Profile

Have you completed your profile in detail? Vetlink will soon be live to the public and they will need to be able to choose who to book with. The only way they can do that is to read your Bio and decide who is best suited for their needs. It will take you just a few minutes to complete so don't delay, do it today.

Why your Vetlink Profile is Important

I hope you are all well.

It's great to see some of you have been able to find a few minutes to complete your profiles. For those yet to do so, I thought I'd drop a few tips that might make the process a bit speedier and maybe highlight why it’s so important.

Making a good first impression is as critical online as it is face to face. Building trust and rapport with your clients is imperative if you want your business to flourish. Before engaging with you, a potential customer will want to know as much as they can about you, they may google you or search for you on social media to be sure their beloved animal is going to get the proper care. Your Vetlink profile is there to ease your pet-owners mind as much as to showcase your skills and experience. Of course, with Vetlink you have the advantage that we as a company will be marketing the services we offer, but it will be your additional efforts for your own personal accounts that will see an increase in the consults you complete.

Profile Image

Your profile image is your first step to showing who you are. At a push, you could add a photo of your pet but keep in mind this is your business and people like to know who they will be talking to on the video call. My biggest suggestion though is not to just leave it as the placeholder image we have provided - it could give the impression the account isn't active if it's not personalised in some way.

Social Media.

When it is live, the social media aspect will give you the chance to showcase your expertise with informative, educational and engaging content. That can be a blog, a training video or a link to a youtube video you might have created or maybe start a discussion on new breakthroughs or issues you feel passionate about.

Tying all your social media platforms together by using similar images as your profile picture makes you easy to find and, should anyone do a Google search for you, the transparency will reinforce your professional status.

An interesting point about the use of videos and also tweets on Twitter - they are propagated by Google and will help to increase your visibility. Even a couple of posts a week can make a world of difference.

Admittedly not everyone likes to be on camera but if you can get over the nerves and do some video blogging it is by far one of the best ways to demonstrate your communication skills and build rapport with your audience.

Reviews And Comments

Asking your clients for a review and providing a visible response is a great way for new customers to decide if you are someone they want to do business with. Remember to check often to see if a review has been left that needs a reply, nobody likes to be ignored.

Your Bio

This is the part of your profile we've added so you can showcase your expertise. This is where you can be as bold as you like and let everyone know your skillset. Your expertise in invaluable and when someone is calling Vetlink they will want to find someone quickly who has the knowledge and experience to help them with whatever problem their beloved pet might be experiencing. Help them out by shouting it loud and clear how you are able to help them.

Library

The library is another place you can showcase your skills - especially for other vets to see. If the video is bigger than 50mb you can just incorporate a link into a text document and allow people with the link access to your content.

Protect Your Reputation

"Your online reputation today is incredibly valuable. When people know about you and their impression is positive, it goes a long way to opening doors for you. As Warren Buffet said, "It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you'll do things differently."

This is a great mantra for the online world, too. Especially if you are looking to grow your personal or professional connections, having a positive online reputation matters."

Until next time!
